The team programs offered at Classic are designed to offer competitive gymnastics options for a variety of levels and abilities. Space in our programs can be limited at times but we do offer various programs for the child that wants to be in a gymnastics meet.
We know the time and commitment involved with competitive gymnastics.
Our goal is to make that time and money well spent for your family. We provide an environment that is designed to bring out the best each kid has to offer while still maintaining the element of fun.
We teach the athletes how to get the most out of their gymnastics ability and how to deal with the day to day issues of being a gymnast and person.

Training team and pre-team are designed for young athletes with an uncommon drive to succed in the sport of gymnastics. Pre-competitive levels teach strength, flexibility, determination and the skills required to move into competitive gymnastics. These are gateway levels to competitive gymnastics. Not all athletes will move on to compete but those who do are well prepared for the competitive team experience.

For those that do progress to competition, there are a couple choices offered by USA Gymnastics. Some may go directly into the Jr. Olympic program (the level 5-10 system) or some may go into the Prep Op (soon to be named Excel) program.
The JO program is designed to push kids through designed, structured progressions to try and get kids to the highest possible levels of gymnastics. The JO program is more commitment, stricter requirements, and more expensive, but is the higher end program. This is the program that produces the Division 1 college athletes and the US National team.

Prep Op is designed for the kids that want a competitive experience and may not have the time to commit to the JO program. These athletes may also chose to take a less competitive approach to the sport at the beginning while developing as gymnasts.
This program is also an option for kids that were in the JO program and due to the strict requirements in that program decided to pursue other options in gymnastics.
This program is designed as to be a skill based, recreational level. The benefits include less time commitment, less money and more flexibility in requirements allowing broader participation. There can be mobility to the JO program if the athlete chooses and meets the requirements.
